Just gorgeous! You've inspired me to plant flowers today. I've got besser bricks around some of my garden beds so I'm filling them with soil and planting flowers for a floral boundary. My bees will be happy!
ReplyDeletewhat a good idea! flowers will soften the look of the bessers and yes, make the bees very happy :-)
DeleteFantastic photos, how lovely to see the start of the season, as everything here is decaying. I did my seed order for next year yesterday evening. Your rose is absolutely gorgeous, as are the dianthus and sweet william. I meant to grow some sweet william next year but I haven't got around to it. I hope you're over your cold soon. CJ xx
ReplyDeletethank you CJ - me too! i love sweet willies and dianthus because they are so hardy and reliable, and because of the variety in their designs - so hard to pick a favourite amongst them.
DeleteSo many pretty flowers! Get well soon.
ReplyDeletethank you jane. the flowers help cheer me up!
DeleteHope you are feeling better soon. The ladybug looks like a 28 spotted one - this ones a baddie as they eat plants. I'd squish it (with regret). Plums are looking good, not too long now :)
ReplyDeleteOh no! they are the only ladybugs I ever get. But thank you Bek. Oh dear.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, any day now with the plums :-)
You have been busy, all that planting and protecting from birds. I did not know Nigella flowers were also white and such gorgeous baby plums, they will grow beautifully for you. I hope your cold is on the way out and pleased you were up to sharing some lovely pictures for us to view. My mother would have already squashed that lady bird, I am with Bek :D Take care E
ReplyDeletemum thinks the white nigellas are something the bees have done, but i'm sure they were in a packet of 'white cottage mix' seeds. I think I like them more than the blue ones!
Deleteand i'm pleased to have the guidance on the ladybirds, but cranky too - I only ever seem to have these wrong ones :-( thanks merryn!
