Blow torches are so much fun (in the kitchen!) I got one for Xmas. I've only used it once and made mini lemon meringue tarts with perfectly bronzed tops. Just go gently-gently when you first use it and then you'll very quickly get the hang of it. Enjoy!
thanks M. lemon tarts will bronzed clouds of meringue sound delicious.
They always look like so much fun. Lemon Meringue? You lightly burn the top of the meringue, yes? x
let's use the word 'caramelise' instead of 'burn', hey E? burning to charcoal is what i'm afraid of!!
Oh, what good fun borrowing a blow torch! i want one too!
ha, i haven't been game to use it yet... i'm going to try it when i'm visiting my parents. for some reason, i think since dad can weld, he'll be able to give me pointers. i know that doesn't make sense, but i've never claimed to be logical!
